Run your business
Online store
Sell products on your website with a cart and checkout. Set up shipping and tax, manage orders, run discount codes and gift cards, and keep 100% of every sale.
Turn your website into a shop. Customers browse your products, add them to a cart and pay online, and you manage every order from your dashboard.
InMinutes takes 0% of your sales. You only pay the normal card processing fee of Stripe or PayPal.
The online store is part of the Pro and Business plans.
#Set up your store
Click Store in the sidebar. The first time, a short setup guide asks five quick questions:
What do you sell?
Physical products (things you ship or hand over) or Digital or services (downloads, sessions, services). Digital stores skip the shipping step at checkout.
Which currency do you charge in?
For example US Dollar, Euro, British Pound, Canadian Dollar or Australian Dollar.
How do you ship?
Optional, and only for physical products. Add one or more shipping rates, such as Standard, Express or Local pickup, each with a price. You can offer free shipping over a certain order total.
Charge tax?
Optional. Enter one tax rate (for example VAT or sales tax) that's added to every order.
Ready to launch
Check the summary and launch. InMinutes adds a shop page to your website, matched to your design.
You can also just ask the editor chat: "Add an online store so I can sell products."
#Get paid
Connect Stripe (card payments) and/or PayPal so customers can pay at checkout. The money goes straight to your own account. See Stripe & PayPal.
You'll find your payment methods under Store → Settings.
#Add products
Go to Store → Products and click Add product:
- Name and description.
- Images: upload photos or pick from your uploaded files.
- Price, plus an optional Compare-at price to show a discount (for example
$40$32). - SKU: your own product code (optional).
- Stock: turn on Track inventory to count how many you have left. Products that run out can't be bought.
- Options and variants: tick This product has options for things like Size or Color. Each variant can have its own price, stock and SKU.
- Status: Active products show in your shop; Draft products are hidden until you're ready. You can also flip the switch next to each product in the list.
#Import many products at once
Have a product list already? Click Import CSV on the Products tab and upload a spreadsheet with your product names, prices and stock. You'll see a preview before anything is added.
Moving from Shopify? See Import a website.
#Manage orders
Store → Orders lists every order. Filter by Paid, Incomplete, Failed or Refunded.
Keep customers updated by moving each order through its steps:
| Step | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Order received | A new paid order. |
| Being prepared | You're packing it or getting it ready. |
| On the way | Shipped. Add the carrier and tracking number. |
| Delivered | It arrived. |
Customers can follow their order on a tracking page. If you connect SMS (Twilio), they also get a text message when the status changes. See Live chat & alerts.
#Refund an order
Open the order and mark it Refunded. InMinutes refunds the payment through Stripe or PayPal automatically. If the automatic refund can't go through, the order tells you why so you can refund it yourself.
#Discount codes and gift cards
Find these under Store → Settings → Promotions.
- Coupons: create a code like
WELCOME10for Percent off or Amount off. You can limit the number of uses and require a minimum order. A use is only counted once the order is paid. - Gift cards: give a customer store credit, for example as a refund or a present. Enter an amount (the code is created for you if you leave it blank). Customers enter the code at checkout and it covers as much of the order as its balance allows.
#Reviews
Customers who bought a product can leave a review. New reviews wait in Store → Reviews as Pending until you Approve them, so nothing appears on your website without your OK. You can also Hide or Delete a review.
#See how you're doing
- Overview: revenue, recent orders and your top products at a glance.
- Analytics: sales over time, best-selling products and how many visitors buy.
#Customer accounts
Let shoppers create an account on your website to see their orders in one place (My Orders). See Customer accounts.
#Store settings
Under Store → Settings you can also change your currency, tax and shipping rates, and refresh your shop page so it matches your latest design.
The Danger zone at the bottom lets you delete your store. You'll need to type DELETE STORE to confirm. This permanently removes your products and your order history.
#Manage your store from the chat
Ask the editor chat to add a product, change a price, remove a product or mark an order as shipped. You'll see an approval card before anything changes.
