Credits you can actually see, and a chat that warns you first
Your AI credits, websites and renewal date now live in your account menu — including on the free plan, which used to show nothing at all. And the assistant tells you when you're out instead of planning an edit it can't make.
The numbers, in your account menu
Open the menu with your name on it and there's now a Credits card: AI credits left, how many websites you're using, any extra credits you've bought, and when the balance renews.
That card is new for everyone, but it matters most on the free plan — which until now was shown no usage whatsoever. The people closest to running out were the only ones who couldn't see it coming.
Numbers that match what the system will do
If your subscription ended, your credits card could still quote you the old paid allowance — "160 of 3000, renews on the 1st" — while every other page called your account free. Nothing was ever charged against that inflated number: any edit you tried was refused anyway. But it was a promise we had no intention of keeping, and it's gone. What you see now is what will actually be honoured.
To be explicit about where the line is: you keep editing up to your plan's credit limit while a payment is being sorted out. Only once an account has fully lapsed does it drop to the free allowance.
The assistant says so up front
Asking the assistant for a change with an empty balance used to produce a considered plan and then a refusal at the end. It now checks first, says plainly that you're out of credits and what to do about it, and doesn't spend anything getting there.
