Attach files from Google Drive
"From Google Drive" in the + menu is live — pick a menu, price list, brochure or photos from Drive and the assistant reads them. Google's own file picker, so only the files you choose are ever visible to us.
The + menu on the prompt box — in the build chat and in the site editor — has had a "From Google Drive" item marked Soon for a while. It's on.
Choose it, sign in with Google once, and Google's own file picker opens. Pick a PDF menu, a spreadsheet of prices, a brochure, a folder of photos; they attach to your message like any other file and the assistant reads them the same way.
Only what you pick
We deliberately did not ask for permission to read your Drive. The picker runs inside Google's UI, and the only files we can ever see are the ones you select in it — Google's drive.file scope, the narrowest one there is. We can't list your files, search them, or see the ones you didn't choose.
This is also why it took a while. Google's verification review of our app is complete as of today, covering sending email on your behalf, calendar events for bookings, and this. No warning screen when you connect.
